Why?
The LEXR Bar Training Programme is a 13-month fast track to get you ready for the Bar Exam and to learn how the law will be practiced in the future. You will:

Do
Doing is the fastest way to learning – you will interact with customers from day one and will take on responsibility early on, all under the guidance of a buddy, a junior that has gone through the onboarding her/himself recently and a mentor, a partner that takes you under his/her wing. Rotating is an important part of the programme so you get to see at least two of our core practice areas.

Learn
Our practice is focused on the tech companies of the future and you will quickly get exposure to our core areas of corporate, contracts, regulatory, IP, and employment law. For the other topics that are required to pass the Bar Exam, you will be part of a dedicated learning team to make sure you’re also ready for matrimonial or procedural questions.

Earn
The Bar Exam is a big investment in time and money. We pay CHF 6’500 per month so you can save sufficient money to devote yourself to learning, and we offer the possibility to come back between written and oral exams to top up.
The programme
Hiring: Getting to know each other
Already during the hiring process, you’ll get a realistic view on how it is to work with LEXR – from speaking to peers and mentors, to getting to know different roles, doing a real-life work probe and meeting the whole team over lunch or dinner.
The start: Introduction weeks
The first weeks are all about setting you up for success. You’ll get acquainted with your tech equipment, software, and efficient legal delivery processes that you need to advise our customers (curriculum: legal writing, contract drafting, negotiation, etc). You will have a buddy on your side as well as a mentor to guide you through the first steps.
On the job training & development
During your time at LEXR, you’ll work with top-tier tech companies and high-growth start-ups in the tech, digital, and fintech fields. In addition, we offer regular bar exam seminars that offer you practical tips for the exams and insights into additional legal areas relevant to the exams.
Continuous feedback & mentoring
Part of our company culture is honest feedback and personal goal setting. Every 6 weeks, we do company-wide sessions to make sure you shape and reach your future vision and get all the support and feedback you need to advance. In addition, you will have your buddy and a mentor who will be at your side during the whole programme.
